Our History
Vanderwees Garden Gallery is a locally owned & family business in Thunder Bay. It was established in 1960 by Joe and Laura Vanderwees. Originally starting out as a part-time business offering a variety of vegtables and garden plants, the company has since expanded.
In 1989, John Vanderwees joined his father as partner, and continues to run the company today. The selection of products now offered includes; tropical plants/seasonal plants and all the necessary gardening tools, home furniture, patio furniture, gourmet food, kids toys, Crocs shoes, and much more.
Tulips Cafe:
Tulips Cafe is located in Vanderwees's retail area, seating 32 and serving gourmet soups, sandwiches, desserts and coffee, it is a wonderful addition to the company.
